Kuroko no Basuke has recently ended, reading the ending makes me feel "that's not very satisfactory". It also makes me think never in my life has I been satisfy with ending of sport manga. I read my fair share or sport manga albeit not that many Slamdunk, Buzzer Beater, E21, whistle (not finish reading..yet) and Hikaru no go (LOL). None of the ending give me the kick that i expected, but if people were to ask me "what kind of ending do you like?" I honestly cannot answer.
The time setting of sport manga usually restricted by their background i.e highschool, middle school, rookie year etc. The reason why i feel unsatisfactory because i wanted to know what goes on beyond that which usually the mangaka leave the work for our imagination, fanfic or even djs. Because manga tells story and compelling stories usually made up of overcoming struggle and conflict so if the story follows the entire life time for the main character that would be too bloated and boring (beside how unlucky can a single person be to be struggling their entire lifetime).
So basically eventhough i feel like the ending might have not been what i "wanted" but i can understand and actually OK with that. I'll just take the feeling of me wanting more of the manga is just me being devoted and care of the characters (which is not a bad thing).
p/s: To me the story intro will keep people reading but the ending will keep the story in people heart.
